Microsoft now introduces a new product (even thou its OSS) which has zero alignments and no story which explains how it aligns to existing customer investments on the Microsoft stack and the current offerings for on-premise do not cover the current needs of these customers now or in the next 12 months that we are aware of, which means longer than that as healthcare typically are not early adopters.
If these customers are seeing Microsoft having a dis-jointed product strategy at a time when they are doubling down on making major investments on BizTalk 2020 to adhere to key industry requirements then they lose confidence in Microsoft and will move to competitors and their long term journeys will change from being BizTalk to Azure to be BizTalk to a competitor
The fact that there is so much demand for people resources in the short-medium term in this sector reinforces the importance of this as a key time for the health sector
We are asking for there to be a product strategy and customer journey which includes a reference architecture for customers around HL7, FHIR and healthcare and includes consideration for a large number of customers who have already got major investments in BizTalk and SQL licensing to support their businesses.
